In Act II, we examine 10 different design considerations for a pinewood derby car. We use physics--both theoretical and experimental--to see how each design detail can affect the speed of a car. Most of this is presented in a way that your child will be able to understand. Occasionally, however, more challenging details are presented. At the end of each section, take-away points are given so they can be used in the construction or your car (Act III).
